Water quality results published where people can read them
The problem
Water quality testing happens, but results rarely reach the households drinking the water in a form they can act on.
Why it matters
Contamination that nobody is told about produces illness that nobody connects to its cause.
Proposed solution
Publish available official water quality results at locality level in plain language, with a clear statement of what each result means for a household.
How it would be implemented
Aggregate and republish official test results with citation, and support communities to request testing where none exists.
Risks, and what we would do about them
Risk
Misinterpreting a technical result and causing unwarranted alarm.
Mitigation
Publish the official result verbatim alongside the plain-language explanation, and have explanations reviewed by a qualified person.
