Public playing space that is actually open to the public
The problem
Public sports facilities are frequently locked, encroached, or effectively reserved, and open playing space in cities keeps shrinking.
Why it matters
Sport at scale needs ordinary access for ordinary children, not elite facilities for a selected few.
Proposed solution
Audit public playing space in covered constituencies for actual public accessibility, and file encroachments and closures as tracked issues.
How it would be implemented
Volunteer audits recording opening hours actually observed and access restrictions actually applied.
Risks, and what we would do about them
Risk
Access restrictions sometimes exist for genuine safety reasons.
Mitigation
Record the stated reason for every restriction, and report it alongside.
